Enable CTCP

CTCP is enabled by default on Windows 8 and higher [1]. On Windows 7 it is strongly recommended to enable it:

  1. Open a new Command Prompt (cmd.exe) as Administrator
  2. Enter:
netsh interface tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp
  3. To display the current setting for CTCP use:
    netsh interface tcp show global
  4. Restart your computer for the change to take effect
