Create run at logon task

The following instructions create a new task which runs SmartFTP when the user logs on.

  1. Go to the Control Panel 
  2. Select Administrative Tools
  3. Select Task Scheduler
  4. Select the Task Scheduler Library in the tree on the left side
  5. Click on Create Basic Task... on the right side
  6. Give the task a name. e.g. Start SmartFTP
  7. Click Next
  8. In the Task Trigger step, select When I log on
  9. Click Next
  10. Select Start a program
  11. Click Next
  12. Click Browse...
  13. Select the SmartFTP.exe file located in the "%programfiles%\SmartFTP Client" folder.
  14. Click Open
  15. Leave the other input fields empty
  16. Click Next
  17. Click Finish
