Unable to resolve host name

Dear,
I get the following error when I try to access the host (web site at Webhost GIANT):
[22:24:27] SmartFTP v4.0.1124.0
[22:24:27] Resolving host name ""
[22:24:27] Unable to resolve host name.
[22:24:27] Active Help: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/81
[22:24:27] Connect failed. Waiting to retry (30s)...
[22:24:57] Connection attempt 2...
[22:24:57] Resolving host name ""

Any idea what's going wrong here? Thanks.

Install the latest version:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

Then go to the menu: File->New Remote Browser. Enter the username/password and Host. Press OK to connect.

I have installed the latest version, but I still get the same error

Post the log without censoring the host name.

I copy and paste the log as it shows in SmartFTP... the host name is www.haverootsandwings.com

Go to the menu: File->New Remote Browser. Enter the username/password and host. Press ok to connect.

I have done this many times in the mean time
here is what I fill in:
host: www.haverootsandwings.com port: 21
path: /httpdocs
username: haveroot
password:

so, please let me know if I have to add/change something

Try to following:
1. Uninstall SmartFTP: Control Panel->Programs
2. Reboot
3. Install SmartFTP from https://www.smartftp.com/download
4. Reboot

If this doesn't help, go to the menu: Favorites->Edit Favorites in SmartFTP and delete everything in the Quick Connect folder.

can you explain why the host name is blank?

I have no idea why this is the case. Can you please post the system information from the menu: Help->About "System Information" dialog.

Please try it on a different computer or on a different user account (create a new one) on your computer.
And please post a screenshot with the log as well.
