Retry, maximum number of clients and just general poor performance?

Hi,

I have been using SmartFTP for a good couple of years now and really like it's simplicity and layout.

I am having intermittent connection problems, I can connect to a domain one minute and everything seems fine and uploads normally, other times I can connect and attempt even a small file transfer and I have to force the upload by right clicking the file and selecting 'process'

I am just in the middle of re-uploading an entire website/forum, only 20mb or so and it's just taking forever, I am getting messages in the log telling me that the maximum number of clients (3) are connected which is not the case as only I am connecting, I'm getting 'retry at' time messages coming up, It seems to upload 5-6 small php files in one go and then drops the connection, so far nearly 2 hours uploading and still not done - very frustrating!

Two strange contradicting factors:
1) If I take my PC 'home' and connect to FTP from their I don't have any issues
2) If I try a different FTP client on my PC at work I don;t have any issues

Post the log(s) from the failed transfers.

Install the latest version here:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

Then close all remote browsers you don't need: menu: Window->Close All

Then set the number of workers in the transfer queue window to 1.
