Files transfer, but aren't removed from queue, then keep trying to transfer!

We just had our site migrated to a new server, and I've encountered serious problems with SmartFTP and the new server. Something isn't working right. I checked it out to see if it was the server, but Filezilla transfers files to it without a problem.

The file will somehow get itself uploaded to the site, but the queue does not recognize this, and will continue to try uploading to the server, basically copying and recopying...all the while throwing out Permission Denied errors as well as No Such File or Directory errors.

I don't know what has changed, but this is really frustrating. I have updated to the newest version of SmartFTP and still this problem persists. Filezilla works fine, but I really want to use SmartFTP because it's so much easier to work with and has better features. Please help!

The post transfer (keep filetime, transfer verification) fails due to a bug on the server (the server disconnects the client after when it receives the MFMT command) and therefore the queue item is correctly set to retry.
Filezilla most likely doesn't send MFTM and therefore the server bug is not triggered.

Can you post the log after SmartFTP has retried the transfer a couple of times.

Another problem with your server. It doesn't allow the client to get the existing size of a file:

Hence the file cannot be resumed.

You can try the post transfer check in SmartFTP. Go to the favorite properties. Then go to the transfer dialog and set the [x] Skip Post Transfer option to Enable.

Alright, that did the trick. I'm still getting the errors, but it's operating just fine regardless. I can upload and it eliminates itself from the Queue after upload. Thanks a bunch. The new server must have some strange settings.

SmartFTP will no longer send the MFTM command (if it is not advertised) in the next version. However we are sending other commands which may also cause the server (or application firewalls) to disconnect the client.
