Copy url/http link

My problem seems to be that when i copy the url/http link on a folder,then try and paste it on a forum,nothing is there.I have just updated my ftp programme,and my mouse is working correctly.i have had no problem with this in the past.Any help would be appreciated.

Please install the latest version of SmartFTP:

When i try to install the latest version i get a message saying the oldest version cannot be removed,so it wont install.

Uninstall the old version first:
Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
