Multi Upload - can't add source or destination

I can't seem to add (drag drop from local browser) files or folders to the source pane, or destination folders from remote browsers to the destination pane.

i've watched the video demo, but when I drag and drop, I see the files with the (+) icon overlay, however when I release the mouse nothing happens. The source and destination panes remain empty.

have I missed something?
