File transfer loses trailing spaces on records

I needed to download a file which has records that end in spaces. If I transfer by drag and drop, the spaces are lost (the records are truncated to the last non-space character). If I right-click the file and do Download, the trailing spaces come through. Any way I can get it to bring the spaces on drag and drop?

Set the transfer mode to Binary. Or set the transfer mode to Auto and remove all the extensions from the ASCII list in the favorite properties. Then FTP->Transfer->Ascii/Binary dialog.
