Why so much memory ?

I'm using Smartftp version 3.0.1021.5 on Windows XP Pro service pack 2 with 2 GB of RAM.
I'm getting (download) some files from a remote host to my local hard disk, there are 3 simultaneous files transfers.
Smartftp is consuming from 13 Mb at the starting up to 111 Mb (very quickly) !!

Is there an explanation to this and a way to reduce it ?

We have corrected the memory leaks in the transfer queue.
