HIPAA Compliance andSet Up

Posted a question initially regarding HIPAA compliance and SmartFTP at the beginning of December.

"This is how new I am. I assumed that finding out what my IP address was (via IPChicken) was sufficient. Obviously not. Can you tell me what I do from here to get the proper FTP server?"

Purchased License and watched Tutorial. I'm stuck at the following:
1. In the tutorial the host server name needs to be entered (e.g. ftp.mydomain.com) - what am I entering here?
You responded "Please contact the person you got the host/ip address from and ask them about the correct ip/port." I
did not get the host/ip address from anyone. Do I need to, in order to proceed?

You need a username/password before you can proceed.

username / password from who?

The username/password is provided by your web hosting company. The web hosting company is the company which manages the servers where your website / data is located at.

So am I looking at something like IX Web Hosting or IPower? Or is it something I can do through my internet provider here (Verizon)?

You can use any web hosting provider you want. All of them basically offer similar services.
