Symbolic links

I would like a right click option to create symbolic links. I think the best way to implement them would be to right click where you want the symbolic link to be created, give it a name, then have a dialog box open so you could browse to where you want the symbolic link to point to.

I don't think that you can make a symbolic link with a ftp.

You can create symlinks via ftp. It might depend on the permissions you have on the box you are hitting though. I also agree that this would be a good feature to add. Maybe even make it a drag and drop option so if you drag files from one directory above you could choose if you want to copy/move/create symlink.

It also depends on the FTP server configuration if you can create links (e.g. via SITE LN -S), the server's OS and filesystem. I have not yet seen any server which allows this. As this feature seems to be not very common, adding it as a permanent feature to the GUI does not seem to be a good idea. Instead, try to add a custom command.
