I've been using SmartFTP for years now, and have only come across one major issue:
When you need to CHMOD a directory and all of the files/directories within it, there is no quick way to do so (especially if there are dozens of levels of subdirectories). A function to recursively CHMOD items would make an awesome feature in the already powerful CHMOD menu, and would add a feature that I have yet to find in any other FTP client.
