Force current view mode under Windows Vista

Windows Vista tends to switch to thumbnail mode automatically, and it's quite annoying. Would it be possible to force the local file listing to stay with its view mode, regardless of the contents of the folder?

I think you need to change this in the Explorer settings. Windows Explorer. Then menu Tools->Folder Options.

I've the same problem. SmartFTP on Vista displays my files in the local browser always as a list of images. Only a couple of fields are shown, which is 'date taken', 'tags', 'size' and 'rating'. Because of this view I cannot sort by 'last edited' which is very anoying.

I tried to change the view options on Vista and it works correct in Windows Explorer but not in the local browser on SmartFTP. Am I the only one with this problem? How can I solve this?

Thx,

Bart

Try to delete the registry key at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SmartFTP

Can you point me in which folder? They're tons of folders under the SmartFTP folder...

Start regedit.exe and delete the main SmartFTP key with all its subfolders.
