Hello Bug Maintainer,

I tried running sftp on my Windows 2003 Advanced Server Installation on an Toshiba Tecra 9000. Starting sftp producess 100 % system load after each click belonging to csrss.exe. This is reproducable even after rebooting.

Is this a know bug, if not what type of info do you need ?

Please install the latest developer build.

We have no problems with SmartFTP running on all of the Windows 2003 systems.

When does it start to consume 100% cpu? Just out of nothing or on a specific action?

Hello Mat,

just installed the developer version, but same as in release. When starting up and building the gui csrss goes 100%. Then clicking into menues it goes up 100% as well till the drop doen menus are displayed. Browsing the menu is normal. After selecting an entry again 100% load till submenu is displayed the load goes normal.

Hello ...

Please take a look at this URL:

I dont think the problem is related to SmartFTP.

Hello Mat,

thank you very much for your support. I digged deeper into the problem and found an interesting article (Community Solutions Article - 555021) in the MS knowledge base. It solved my problem. In short my user profile was "corrupt" and afer reinitalizing it smartftp runs fine with no high peaks.

So this case can be closed.

greetings

For others with the same problem the MS kb article is at:
