Prohibited file name: .pureftpd-upload

Can't delete the file. Can't mod it or rename it or anything.

Any suggestions on how to be rid of it?

Hi, this is not a SmartFTP bug, instead maybe FTPD limitation or security lock, ask your hosting to delete it.
