Possible to recursive CHMOD folders only (i.e., NOT files)

It seems that not many FTP clients have the ability to do a recursive CHMOD (i.e., CHMOD all the files and folders under a folder with the same permissions.). SmartFTP allows this, but it would be nice if I had the option of CHMOD'ding only the folders, not the files.

Is this possible? Or is it too difficult? Or am I missing something?
