Client keeps closing the Connection...

Now the problem isn't my firewall, so what is wrong with it?

I'm having the same problem. I just called my computers technical support to make sure Firewalls were okay.

Do you have the same problem with other host? (Try ftp://ftp.netscape.com/)

Did you try using another FTP client? Does it connect?

If you don't have/want to install another FTP client (I'm assuming you have Windows XP) :
- Start menu > Run...
- In the input box, types :
- Click "OK"
- A (black) command line window will appear.
- At the prompt, types in :
- Press return key

Then you must see the line :

Which type of connection do you use? Is there a NAT server? Do you use a proxy?

When I do all the cmd stuff, after I press enter on the list, the whole screen is blank and nothing comes up. I'm quite confuzzled.

I'm having the same problem myself and its highly irritating because I'm desperate to update my site. Ive tried connecting as normal to two different sites, but have been unsuccessful with both. Ive never had this problem before and don't remember making any changes to my PC. The Active Help is seemingly of no help either. Any ideas? Cheers.

OK. Do you have the same problem with other FTP servers? Try using the ftp.netscape.com server.
