Romaine
When attempting to connect to my server, I get the following:
Resolving host name ftp.my server.co.uk...
Connecting to (ftp.my server.co.uk) -> IP: some.ip.address PORT: 21
Connected to (ftp.my server.co.uk) -> Time = 0ms
Socket connected waiting for login sequence.
Cannot login waiting to retry (5s)...
When I disable my (Norton) firewall, It connects and allows me to FTP to my hearts content. However, I am concerned at the security risk to my home PC.
How should I configure either SmartFTP or Norton to allow the FTP with the firewall running?
I am running on XP pro and have disabled the windows firewall.
Any help will be much treasured .
Regards,
Pete.
