How do I log in with password?

Just downloaded it.

I am trying to log onto an FTP site using a username and password.

However, whenever I try Smartftp tells me when using the url to connect it ignores the username and password!

So what the hell good is a username and password option when the freaking program ignores it? I even watched the tutorials, which don't say a damn thing about it ignoring these options, and they were no help at all.

is there something I am missing here?

if the url you're using doesn't contain username & password (like ftp://username:password@ftp.server.com/), you need to uncheck "anonymous" in the address bar and enter them there.
