won't display files and folders

Hi

Just install smart FTP on two computers. On one it works fine (win98). On the other (using XP home edition service pack 1) I cannot get it to display the files and folders.

I have tried various combinations of options in the Directory Listing Options but can find no way to display the files. What do I do now?

Are those two computers connected to the same LAN?

Have you tried configuring and/or switching off the Windows Firewall on the WinXP machine?

No they are both stand alone laptops.

What do we need to change on the xp firewall and how do we do that(didn't know XP had one - this is my friends machine, personally I wouldn't touch XP with a bargepole)?

The win98 operates through a firewall but that posed no problems at all.

Hi, can you paste a log of your conection? have you tryed with pasv or port mode?
