Missing Toolbar Icons

My SmartFTP client doesn't show the images on the toolbar buttons unless the mouse is over them. Instead they show a circle with an X in it...

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, etc and I still get the same problem. Running Win2k with all the updates.

Anyone know what might be going on?

try to use the forum search to find an answer. this is what i just found:

so try to set your display depth to 32 bits.
