Problem with the nag screen

***This is not a complaint about the nag screen***

I just installed SmartFTP last night and this afternoon and when I ran the app the nag screen came up is said that I had been using SmartFTP for 441 days. This is the first time I have installed SmartFTP since I formatted my HD and I did not try to crack or use a stolen key to register the product. Is there any reason that this is happening?

This problem has been fixed. Do the following steps:

- Uninstall the current version.
- Delete the "Favorites.dat" and "History.dat" in your "Data Path"
e.g. C:Document and Settings<username>Application DataSmartFTP
<username> is your Windows Logon name
Note: You may have to change the "Folder Options" in the "Windows Explorer" before you see this "system" folder.
- Install the latest build (1.0.981.36 or newer) from https://www.smartftp.com/download

so I will lose my Favorites?

I thought you did a fresh installation (first time). Then it should be no great loss.

I did, but I already imported some of my Favorites from FileZilla
