425 Cannot open data connection (10060) Problem

In some ftps i connect, log in, and then i get this error:

150 Opening data connection for directory list.
Connection closed. Server timeout.
425 Cannot open data connection (10060).

how can i solve it? I'm using Windows XP pro

Have you a firewall? Could you try disabling it (temporarily) and see if that rectifies matters?

Hi, What happens sometimes is that the Server is behind a firewall, You get the Authentication on port 21, and as soon as you try transfer data, it switches to port 20. That error is caused when the firewall in front of the server does not allow port 20 through
