Click and drag to folder doesn't download ...

On my computer it works but on my friend's computer it will create a folder called 'SFTPDROP' ... is there anyway he can actually drag and drop the files he wants downloaded?
I skimmed through the known problems and knowledge base and didn't really see anything about this problem.

a restart is only needed to make the shell extension work, which is responsible for drag & drop to / from Windows Explorer. in fact, under win2k and newer a logout / login should be enough. correct me if I'm wrong, mb.
