red x's in my toolbar

why am I getting red x's in my toolbar? once u mouseover, u can see the icon but it goes back to red when u move ur mouse.

I only ever saw red Xs in (I think it was) Word when it couldn't find an image file or it had another problem with an image. Is this only happening with SmartFTP? If it is then uninstall, download the latest version and reinstall.

Try to right click over toolbar, customize, and reset the toolbar, if that don't works try to erase all registry settings of SmartFTP ussing regedit (if you are a newbie on that ask help to someone that knows)

I have exactly the same problem. But it only happens when i use the newest Nvidia drivers for my TNT2. The problem also happens with all sorts of ICQ Versions on my system. All other applications seem to work without any problems. Maybe it's a Microsoft bug?! Does anybody know if the people from icq use the same libarys as smartftp?

I've allready tried updating directx and got new drivers for my sis agp port. But nothing helped.

By the way: I'm using Windows 2000.

I also have nvida drivers for mu TNT2 and am running Windows 2000. I fixed the problem by changing my display to 32 bits. Worked for me
