New Version: -a is missing

I recently upgraded SmartFTP to the newest build, and I can no longer view hidden files.

I looked into this. I thought maybe the program had been corrupted, so I un/reinstalled it.

Still, the hidden files were not being shown (.htaccess files to be exact).

Here is part of the connection output I got:

[10:26:05] 150 Accepted data connection
[10:26:05] 4672 bytes received successfully. (4.56 KB/s) (00:00:01).
[10:26:05] 226-Options: -l
[10:26:05] 226 41 matches total

However, in my settings I have Show All Files [-a] turned on. The line
[10:26:05] 226-Options: -l
doesn't show the -a command.

Is this a SmartFTP bug? I have determined that it is not a bug on the servers I am trying to connect to, because:
1) There are three different servers I am trying to connect to.
2) Other FTP programs can see the hidden files.

Any help on this? A quick fix even? Thanks.

Update:

I got SmartFTP to use the -a command if I turned off the MLSD option.

It's a bug in pureftpd. But as the developer refuses to fix you have no other choice than to disable MLSD or to use a different FTP server.

So what's the solution? How do I turn off MLSD?

Menu: Tools->Settings.

Then go to the "Transfer" dialog.

sorry, I'm still not seeing my .htaccess file, and I don't see and option for toggling mlsd.

I have the show all files and long file format boxes checked.

If you're connecting over a favorite go to the favorite setting.

Update to the latest build and check again. The option is there of course.

still cannot see .htaccess files using latest build.

The problem is with your configuration or your server.

Reading this thread carefully would solve your problem.

please elaborate. WSFTP and cute ftp all work fine, so I don't see how the server is the issue.
