I can't initialize program

... no matter what I do, I received this:

"The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the
application"

I used this program since years ago, now this is
first time I face problem.... :cry:

What version of smartftp are you using, on what operative system? if you aren't using the last development build, download it from my signature and try again.

I just had the same problem under W2K. There seems to be an incompatibility with Tiny Personal Firewall v. 5.0 (http://www.tinysoftware.com). After uninstalling TPF, the problem disappeared. I haven't yet tried with a different firewall, so it could be related to software firewalls in general.

try kerio it works without any problems and its free for private use.

Yeah I just installed tpf 5 and got the same error mb. hmmmm weird??

Even with the thing disabled it fails to run. Too bad, two of my favorite programs.

Now which one will stay?? You know the answer.

I have been running every new version of this antivirus for 3 years
without ever experiencing any problems in conjuction with SmartFTP.

Anyone else got a problem with Tiny Personal Firewall 5.0 and SmartFTP?

I'm trying Kerio now, we'll see if that's any better.

I've tested the latest build of TPF on Windows XP. No problems here.

What OS are you using?

I have tried that SmartFTPDev version but
didn't work!!
Afterthat I have upgraded TFP 5.0
to last build 210 but also SmartFTP
didn't work.
So now there is no other way
than try other firewall or stop using
SmartFTP!!

Winxp without SP1, just only updates
through windows update.
Different program = Office 2003 Beta 2 +
last Technical Fresh Update (140MB)
NSW2003 duly updated
