Server timeout - HELP ME

Hi
After logged, Im trying to open a folder has has about 50,000 subfolders inside, and smartFTP stops saying Server Timeout.

I also tried with WS-FTP without success.

They cannot show the entirely list inside this folder.

Any suggestion??

Where I can change the server timeout within smartFTP v1.0 ?

I setup timeout to 3000 secs without success.
It does not list the folder content yet.
May be the large subfolders inside , about 50,000 , is an amount smart ftp cannot handle

any idea?

is the server you are listing from extremely slow? or busy maybe?, cause i dotn think it counts as a timeout while its getting the list, cause that would count as activity

which is better more server timeout or less server time out ?

Try to disable -aL on file listing settings, btw i have tested smartftp with directories with a lot of files (>50.000) without trouble

server timeouts around 30s are ok. It always depends on the connection to the remote server. For extremly slow connections you may need to increase the timeout. Increasing the timeout over 60s does not make sense though.
