2 GB file barrier for transfers..?

I looking around for a current FTP-client. Amongst others, I checked out the features/specs of FTP-Yoyager. There, it is specifically pointed out that it is now able to handle files larger than 2 GB from revision 10.0 on. I have never thought about the existance of such barrier in the first place, but I will have to deal with such files in the future. So I would like to know whether the current (or any) version of SmartFTP is subject to any such limitation. Thanks.

SmartFTP has had support for file(s) over the size of 4 gb since -> "08/03/2002 Build 969" (64 bit ready).

RaidenFTPD & SmartFTP were ahead of the game, by introducing 64 bit file size support to the FTP protocol.
