Ok i need to map ports in the router, so testing limit local ports im trying to map 4000 to 5000 in router to the internal IP of the machine, and using the setting limit local ports in SmartFTP.
now on connection to any ftp, if i use netstat -a the local port listed is no where in the range i need/mapped, why?
the reason why i need it this way, is others i keep getting timeouts on downloads, and if using DMZ to the machine, i no longer get the dropouts, but of course i dont want to use DMZ, so im guessing if the above made smartftp use the port i map, it should fix the problem
