By that I mean open up two FTP sessions to two different machines, and drag a file from one onto the other.
I know it's possible to do that, but can it be managed so that the file data doesn't stream through your own box? Act as a "transparent" middleman, in other words.
For instance, if the two servers have a fast connection to each other, but a slow one to you, the ideal would be to somehow handshake the two servers together and let them do their thing... while you get out of the way.
You'd gain the benefit of a direct connection between the servers while using SmartFTP's excellent UI; no clunky command-line ftp to worry about. Is this possible?
