Performance down? :-(

Hi,
I've done a (upload-) speed test (80MB File) on a few FTP programmes via LAN.
Smart FTP was the winner!
2,9-3,4MB/sec !

The other programmes reached only 50-1000KB/sec.

I think it was SmartFTP 1.0.968.
I thought, I should download the new Version - maybe it's even more faster

So i downloaded and installed the new version 1.0.973 8)

Then I did the speed test again, but i couldn't believe... "only" 300-600KB/sec...

What happened to the nice programme?

Maybe some new features/tools slows down the speed?

It would be nice, if you could find the reason that smartftp will become the fastest FTP Programme again
Or is there no hope?

If it won't be able to get it faster, where can i download the old version (1.0.968) ?
Would you upload it?
[the problem is, I've installed the new version over the old one)

With 974 development build i am able to reach 12000 KB/s from a 7200 rpm hd to another.

FTPing from my Windows XP Pro box to my Xbox over a 100Mb/s routed network I get 150KB/s with SmartFTP (build 973). Doing the same transfer using FlashFXP or Windows XP command-line ftp I get 1.5MB/s. That's 10 times faster for those of you weak at math. Why is this?

Yep, I tested the speed (80MB file) @ 100Mbs LAN, too. (FTP-Server)

Perfect FTP: 300 KB/s
WS FTP: 2200 KB/s
LeechFTP: 2900 KB/s

Smart FTP 973: 450 KB/s
Smart FTP 968: 3500 KB/s

What haaaaaaaappened with the programme?

BTW: I found the old setup file of Smart FTP 968 - but when i install it now, it doesn't start - maybe the new version changed some things, that the old one isn't able to start
