OK, so I'm not very familiar with the user interface of SmartFTP yet...
What I wanted to do was I tried to move a (remote) file to a different folder (a subfolder of the current folder) and when I cound not find a "Move" command, I selected the "Rename" command instead and typed the name of the folder in front of the file.
The name of the file was index.html
The name of the new folder was tempfiles
so I renamed the file to tempfiles/index.html
This worked. That is, the program actually performed the task I wanted it to do. However, the file was now still listed in the parent folder of tempfiles, and was now named tempfiles/index.html. Even though it also showed up in the listing of tempfiles.
