tried installing the upgrade

hi,been using smart ftp for quite a while,i went to use it today and all i got was a black screen for half a second then flicked back to my desktop,this kept happening,so uninstalled it,downloaded the most recent version,installed it and the same problem happened.I think the black screen that appears is something like MS DOS Prompt.Please can u help

Get the latest developer build from
https://www.smartftp.com/download

If you still see a black screen. Something with your OS is seriously screwed up. I'd recommend you to install Win2k or WinXP.

thanks mb,tried the latest developer build and still went to the black screen,i have windows 98 at the moment,wil re-install that.
