URL Watcher...what is it

I searched forum, kbase, tutorials, homepage, and found *nothing* on what the "URL Watcher" is or does...

Sorry to be clueless, but what is it?

Cheers,
Gary

It monitors the clipboard for URL's with an FTP protocol...

eg.

if you copy some text: ftp://ftp.somesite.com, and you have the URL watcher enabled (and SmartFTP is open and running), you will get a confirmation box saying something like "URL detected in clipboard, do you want to connect to it now?". By clicking yes, SmartFTP will be brought into focus, and will connect to that site. If you click no, then nother further will happen.

Try it!

edit: Forgot something. If there is no userid and/or password specified in the URL (such as ftp://userid:password@ftp.somesite.com), it will assume it to be annonymous login. If there is, it will attempt to use that userid and password (I think)
