delay

when i upload new files onto my webspace that overwrite an old file

these changes do not appear straight away is this smartftp or my host

because one time i uploaded my new index.html for the pictures folder, but these changes took quite a while to appear.

and sometimes when i delete the old file instead of overwriting it

i delete the old file and upload the new and it still says there is a file with the same name in this directory is this because of my host or ftp
