closing a internet explorer

when i open smart ftp and copy a short cut to bring up smartftp it works fine but when i close every thing including internet explorer .smartftp open back up and tries to connect three or four time to the last ftp site i was in and people dont like when that happens cause it called hammering . how do i fix this problem

I'm having the same problem. It's a great program but this is making me want to switch to a client that doesn't hammer my favorite sites.

Settings->Display->Prompts

and disable the "On URL Watch" checkbox.

Per default it's disabled.

The only thing I see is "on URL catch" and that's already disabled. Is there anything else I can try?
