Connection problems

Now I can connect! The problem was my firewall.

I got the same problem while my firewall is off :S

Is it my fault?

The server may be behind a firewall. Try using PASV mode.

with windows ftp.exe

ftp> open ftp.home.zonnet.nl
Connected to ftp.home.zonnet.nl.
Connection closed by remote host.

Then the trouble is from the server.

No, somebody else who uses a other ftp-program CAN log-in.. and I'm not behind a firewall..

I have tryed with ftp.exe, ftp voyager, flashfxp, cute ftp xp, cute ftp pro and internet explorer and none worked. Maybe you have chosed a bad port?

i'm facing the same problem
what is wrong?
here's what appears on my screen:
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...
i've been trying for 2 days already and it's still the same
can anyboby help please?
