I haven't had time to search through all of the forums, so please forgive me if this is a repost.
I have tried using both the latest stable and development versions of smartftp, but I've run into a problem with both. It seems that on some ftp sites, not all of the folders are shown under that directory. If, however, I type the entire address, including the folder name, in the address bar, I can get to the folder. The folders that are not showing up are those folders which are actually links to other physical folders, so I suspect the problem starts here. The way I found this out was by trying to download the latest release of slackware linux. You can use this as an example of my problem:
1) Go to ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu/pub/linux/di ... slackware/
Under this directory, there SHOULD be a folder called "slackware-9.0" but is isn't there in the directory tree.
2) Go to ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu/pub/linux/di ... ckware-9.0
This will take you directly there and proves the folder is actually there.
I have tried both versions and this seems to be a problem in both. If I am just missing a setting, then I will feel stupid, but please let me know. Thanks.
James
