Strange characters in filename.

I dragged a couple of files from a 'local browser' window to a 'connected' window. Now, I've realized that I copied the wrong files but when I try to delete them, the server returns 'File Not Found'. They do appear in the file listing but if I do a raw listing, there is a box character preceding the filename I had on W2K.

I've tried the windows ftp client and it can't delete them either. Any ideas/pointers?

Perhaps I should have included the version number? I'm running v1.0.973.

whats the filename and the server you moved them to?

Maybe you have uploaded a unicode filename to a server that don't allows it and you need to delete the file from the server and no from the client.

Okay. I'm a little out of my realm I think. I was uploading them to my domain host. You're suggesting that I have to get them to delete it then?

Where would the option for unicode filenames be? I don't see it.

To answer KamiKaze, one of the filenames was pineshelf.pdf and the server is ftp.ehosting.ca
