crash uppon some directory listings

When trying to receive some directory listings on local serv-u servers we get system crashes.
Sometimes it works fine, but if I press F5 (refresh) right after I have listed the directory it crashed on before, it crashes again.

Just to get this clear: there are a few directories that give the crashes, and it are always the same directories. Also, in versions prior to 1.0.973 this did not occur.
