Slow LAN transfer speeds after 973 update

Before updating to the latest version, I use to get > 2000K/s on my LAN transfers (I set the buffer up to 2048). After doing the "upgrade" to the latest version, now I can't get above 50 K/s. I checked and it seems like all my settings remained unchanged.

After furthur testing, it only seems to be a problem when I upload. Downloading is still really fast.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Haven't looked at this in a long time. Just "downgraded" to 971, and the fast upload speed returns. Still broken in the developer build as well. Time to turn off auto-update.

BTW: Who told you to set the IO Buffer Size to 2MB?

8-32 KB is more than enough.

What is the optimal setting for LAN transfers? I thought that I wasn't getting the full bandwidth until I upped the buffer.

The IO buffer size depend of the OS and a lot of things, NIC cards, HD speed and rpm.

(i don't renember the IO buffer size that i have used on win xp test) the transfer was 6.4 GB of data across a 100 mpbs lan using 5400 rpm HD
