complete uninstall_registry too!

I wanted to know how one can completely get rid of all the files used by smartftp. Iam having some small problems here so I wanted to remove all the entries completely and make a smart fresh indtallation.
Thank you and a nice day

SmartFTP will remove it's main registry branch when it is uninstalled. If you are trying to get rid of the favorites and history you will need to do the following:

First, uninstall SmartFTP (if you haven't already)

Under Windows NT/2000/XP: go to c:documents and settings[username]application data and delete the directory SmartFTP.

Under Windows 98/ME: go to c:windowsapplication data and delete the directory SmartFTP.

hey cox,

if you want to make a further check in your registry (it's always good to have an overview of what's in there) you can take an easy look at it with the free RegCleaner tool.

If you should not know it yet, it is a useful item to download

csant.

Iam well versed with this cleaner, but I know of two others which do a much better job than this one and I have them. Unfortunately, in order for them to really clean up everything I have always gone to my registry editor and made some further cleaning.
Nevertheless, thank you for all your contribution
