Using SmartFTP behind a firewall?

Hi

I'm having trouble getting SmartFTP to work behind my firewall (Smoothwall(.org) machine)...

Found proxy settings in SFTP - tools > settings > proxy...

Have a feeling I need to open up some ports?

When I try to connect I get this...

    Connecting to Proxy (smoothwall).



    Connected to Proxy (smoothwall) -> IP: 192.168.0.254 PORT: 800.



    Socket connected waiting for login sequence.



    Connection closed.

Try using PASV mode. If your firewall is software-based, see if you can create an accepted programs list in which the firewall recognizes it and lets it access the internet.

I am using PASV and its a hardware firewall...
