I did not enter a password when I entered my other details. I then typed in the password to connect and quick connect/favourites tells me I have to update this. When I disconnect, my password is then saved, so I have to go in and remove it. Is there a way to disable save password please?

When you enter the password into the update password dialog make sure that the option is set to "Session". This way the password will only be stored in the memory until you close the application.
