FTP Log In

Here at our business, we have 7 computers registered with SmartFTP. All of them loads up our website with no problem except my own computer. It just sits there and shows that it is loading....I got tired of waiting for something to kick in after 18 minutes and tried finding a solution in these forums. I have restarted my ftp to see if there was just a glitch on the loading and I've restarted my entire computer twice just for safe measure. Still the same thing happens!! None of our ftp addresses or passwords have changed and we've had SmartFTP for 2 years. Can someone help me resolve this issue please?

I just uninstalled the software entirely and then redownloaded it. Even after deleting ALL files associated with SmartFTP, after I re-downloaded it and launched it, SOMEHOW it still remembered the website ftp url!!! Nobody else here at work is having problems, yet there is only ONE of our websites that I can access. All the rest are kicking me out with the following response....

You know, for an expensive ftp software, it SURE has a lot of damn problems! There's NO telephone support to be found on the website so if anyone else knows how to contact these 'gurus' who developed this....I would like to speak to someone..since that's how things are supposed to be professionally done! If I keep having these issues, I've got half a mind and some VERY good legal council in filing a law suite. And for the problems it is causing for our business, I will be taking compensation in the value of EVERYONE who has purchased this software! Because if the developers/owners can't get their act together and run an operation PROFESSIONALLY I will GLADLY take over!

Your server does not support FTPS. You have to select the "Normal FTP" protocol instead. Go to the menu: File->New Remote Browser. Then select "Normal" in the protocol selection. Fill in the username/password and host and press OK to connect.
