remote browser default folder - how to change it?

Hi, everyone,

My apologies if this has been asked and answered before but I did not find any reference to it in a forum search.

I just switched to 2.0 from 1.5 today and thought I could import my current settings from 1.5. If this is possible, I did not see where. Is it?

Since I did not see that I could, I started to input the information into 2.0, was successful, but then realized I'd rather go directly to a subfolder of the site instead of to the root.

How can I change the profile for a given site to go to directly to a subfolder?

In the particular case which interests me, I want to go to the wwwroot subfolder since it's a ColdFusion site.

I can set this up in Dreamweaver, for instance, see nowhere I can do this in SmartFTP.

Will appreciate any help,

Lucian

Hello ...

Go to the favorite settings:
- Click on the Edit Favorite Settings button in the toolbar of the Remote Browser

Then go to the General dialog and set the "Path" value to the initial path.

Mat

Thanks very much, Mat! That did the trick!

Do you know if there's a way to just import all the old FTP settings from 1.5?

Lucian

Yes of course. Go to menu: Favorites->Edit Favorites.

Then in the Favorites window go to the menu: Tools->Import.

Thanks again!

If that's in the help files somewhere, I sure missed it. I've never really used 'favorites' much, just typed in the ftp address, user name, and password, connected, then pulled down the information from the dropdown the next time. I haven't really used SmartFTP much for a while now anyway. Not because of any problems - it's a great program - but because I FTP straight from Dreamweaver.

I truly appreciate both your responses.
