replies in English or french merci!

A network problem prevents SmartFTP from connection to the server (or vice verse).

Three options to fix your problem:
1. Change the protocol in the favorite settings to Normal FTP instead of FTP over SSL Explicit.
2. Add SmartFTP to the exceptions in your software firewall + allow it to act as a server. Then configure SmartFTP to use the WAN IP address for the PORT command (FTP->Connection). Setup the Local Port Range in SmartFTP. Then forward these ports in your NAT router and software firewall to SmartFTP.
3. Configure the server correctly. Open a port range in the server's firewall, configure the port range in the FTP server and tell the FTP server to return the WAN ip address for PASV commands.

If you have a control over the FTP server software I recommend you to use something more sophisticated.

Mat
