Hello,
I'm using the latest version of SmartFTP, using Windows XP SP2 on an Athlon 3800+ dual core, 2 gigs ram, 400 gig hard drive, 10 megabit cable modem.
When I am downloading files in the que, the program always hangs/freezes when attempting to do other tasks with the program while downloading. In other words, if I try to browse the remote folders and files while I am downloading via the que, the download continues uninterrupted, but the hourglass will appear for about 30 seconds or more, when attempting to perform any tasks, such as browsing the remote's files, or adding another file to the que. This problem always recurs, whether I use active or passive modes, and irregardless of the remote that I am connected to.
Please let me know how to fix this condition, or offer any possible ideas or suggestions.
Thanks very much in advance
Charlie
