Connection Error

I can't log into my FTP anymore from my home. I recently changed ISP (from cable to DSL) but I have no changed Antivirus or Firewall settings in a year. I can log into my servers from work, so I know it's a problem with my home network. Other than that I know little to nothing about connections, networking, firewalls etc, so I have no clue what the problem could be.

I'm using a cheapo Linksys wireless router (has never prevented FTP connection before). I recently had to go into the Linksys config to set it up on bridge mode or something like that (the tech guy walked me through it over the phone) to get it to work with the DSL. The internet is working fine on my desktop and two laptops, but FTP is broken.

I can't connect either. Two weeks ago, my XP computer stopped connecting, I tried using the program on my Vista computer today. Firewall is allowing full access to FTP, I opened all of the ports on my router - leaving myself completely unprotected - and it still isn't working. I have Comcast high-speed and a Netgear CG814WGCom router. I'm getting 2 error messages: 1) 425 Can't open data connection and 2) An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. Any info I found on the web refers to Firewall, AntiVirus program and Router. Seems my settings are correct. I'm at a total loss and I really need to get some work done. Did you solve your problem?

Can I join the club? Worked last week. Doesn't work this week on 2 different computers. The advice that says change to passive doesn't work; The advice that says edit favourites doesn't work as my sites are not listed as favourites...
